Spotify is launching a new feature called Smart Reorder, designed to automatically rearrange songs in a playlist for smoother transitions. Building on last year's Mix tool, it analyzes factors like tempo and key to create a more cohesive listening sequence.
The feature appears as an optional control within the Mix tool and does not permanently alter the playlist's original order. Users can toggle it on or off at any time, maintaining full control while gaining an algorithm-driven, DJ-like flow.
Smart Reorder is now rolling out globally to all Spotify Premium subscribers, representing the latest addition to the platform's suite of AI-powered features.
