Samsung has reportedly begun distributing the One UI 8.5 Beta 6 update to Galaxy S25 users in India, with other regions to follow. This latest beta aims to resolve several persistent issues from the previous version.
The update addresses bugs including a problem with the Bixby wake-up phrase in Labs, display issues with Now Brief/Now Bar recommendation cards, and a glitch causing duplicate buttons in the Gallery's sketch conversion feature. It also fixes a force close error in camera settings and improves notification card animations.
This beta release follows the recent launch of the Galaxy S26 series, which comes with One UI 8.5 and new features like the Privacy Display on the Ultra model. While the new Bixby with enhanced natural language understanding is a highlight of One UI 8.5, it is currently exclusive to the S26 series.
There is significant anticipation for the stable release of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series, as it represents a substantial update. Many hope Beta 6 will be the final testing phase before the official rollout.
