Atomos has announced the Ninja RAW, its latest on-camera monitor and recorder. Designed for both amateurs and professionals, this 5.2-inch Full HD device features a bright 1500-nit HDR touchscreen. It provides essential tools like focus peaking, zebras, false color, waveforms, and framing guides. A unique on-screen scroll wheel allows for direct adjustment of camera settings such as ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.

The Ninja RAW's key feature is its ability to record footage directly via HDMI, bypassing in-camera compression and limitations. It can capture 6K video at up to 30fps, 4K at 60fps, and 1080p at 120fps. For storage, it includes a CFexpress Type B card slot and two USB-C ports for connecting fast SSDs or accessories like network adapters.

Supported recording formats include ProRes RAW, ProRes RAW HQ, and various ProRes codecs. The monitor is compatible with major editing software like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Avid Media Composer. Power options include a dedicated USB-C port for AC or power bank connection and a mount for NP-F batteries.

The Ninja RAW is available now for $699 USD and comes with necessary locking cables and adapters.
