Multiple strangers have arrived at their doorstep, insisting that their lost iPhones or iPads are located inside the residence, based on the coordinates provided by Apple’s Find My service. Despite the homeowner’s repeated explanations that no such devices are present, the incidents continue to occur, leaving the residents feeling increasingly unsafe.


Potential Explanations: From Scams to Digital Anomalies

The community response has been varied, with some users warning about potential security risks. One commenter noted, «I would call the police. It may be someone trying to gain access to your property; whatever you do, don't let them in.» There is speculation that some of these encounters could be part of a sophisticated scam designed to gain entry into homes under false pretenses.


However, many point toward technical flaws in location tracking services. Historical data supports the idea that this is not a new phenomenon:
