Withings has launched a new lineup of connected health scales, headlined by the BodyFit. Designed to move beyond simple weight tracking, this device promises professional-grade body composition insights that can be generated in just 10 seconds from the comfort of your home.


Precision Through Multi-Zone Analysis

The BodyFit utilizes a sophisticated system comprising eight electrodes embedded in both the base and a retractable handle. This configuration enables "six-zone body composition analysis," which tracks muscle and fat distribution specifically across the arms, legs, and trunk. By employing Bioelectrical Impedance Spectroscopy (BIS) across 13 frequencies reaching up to 800kHz, the device captures over 40 distinct physiological metrics.


The DEXA Comparison

Withings emphasizes that the BodyFit is designed to rival the precision of a DEXA scan, which is currently the medical industry's benchmark for composition analysis. According to a validation study conducted in partnership with the French sports-health facility Mon Stade, the scale showed strong correlation metrics:

  • Up to 99% correlation for fat mass measurements.
  • Up to 98% correlation for muscle mass measurements.

While these statistics are notable, industry experts suggest viewing these results as a demonstration of the technology's effectiveness rather than a direct replacement for clinical-grade diagnostic equipment.

Beyond the entry-level BodyFit, the company has updated its premium range:

The new devices are scheduled for market release on July 1, 2026. The pricing structure is as follows:
