Developer Screaming Villains has announced the imminent release of 'Prize Fighter: Heavyweight Edition', a ground-up remaster of the iconic 1993 Sega FMV game for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The title launches on February 20, 2026.
The remaster features 4K support and enhanced, realistic graphics designed to immerse players in the brutal world of boxing. The original game's intense fight scenes, choreographed by Ron Stein of 'Raging Bull' and 'Rocky' fame, are preserved with modern visual fidelity.
While a price point is yet to be confirmed, the game's PS Store page is already live for wishlisting. The developer promises an authentic experience, including visual effects like blurred vision upon taking a punch.
