PS3 owners are preparing to bid farewell to the console's Netflix app next month, as the streaming service ends its support. Users were notified within the app that Netflix will no longer be available on the PlayStation 3 after March 2, 2026.

The app provided an ad-free experience, even on older CRT TVs, for nearly two decades. Netflix's official notice directs users to a list of supported devices, without providing a specific reason for the discontinuation.

While PS4 and PS4 Pro support continues, fans on Reddit expressed sadness, noting the PS3 outlasted support for other legacy platforms like the Wii. Some users suggested alternatives like Universal Media Server for streaming personal media to the console.
