Meta Quest v85 is now rolling out to public test channel users, bringing a significant UI overhaul and new experimental features. The update replaces the old navigation with the new Navigator UI and removes the Horizon Feed panel.
A standout feature for Quest 3 users is the Surface Keyboard and Touchpad, which projects a virtual keyboard onto any flat surface. The update also introduces a customizable Action Button for Quest 3S, enhanced malware scanning, privacy indicators, and passkey support in the browser.
Accessibility improvements include voice control for 2D windows. Meta states the Ongoing Activities panel has been redesigned to lay the groundwork for future features. The final stable release is expected in the coming weeks.
