Fortnite's latest crossover reveal has sparked significant backlash online. Epic Games unveiled a closer look at the upcoming Sung Jin-Woo skin from the "Solo Leveling: Arise" collaboration, which was highly anticipated after months of leaks.

However, the first official preview has left many fans frustrated. Players expected a design inspired by the hit anime adaptation, but Fortnite opted for the character's long black coat from the gacha game version. Critics quickly dubbed it the "gacha design," arguing it lacks the recognizable aesthetic of the anime.

The promotional video confirmed the skin's ties to Netmarble's game adaptation, not the anime series. It showed Jin-Woo performing his resurrection spell on Igris, hinting at a playable skin for the Blood-red Commander as well.

Despite criticism, some elements were welcomed, including Igris's inclusion and confirmed cosmetics like a "Godly Statuette" backbling. Rumors about a Cha Hae-in skin persist ahead of the expected February 20 release.

The controversy highlights strong fan demand for authentic anime collaborations, especially for a title as popular as Solo Leveling.
