Major Announcements at Summer Game Fest

As Digital Extremes celebrates the 13th anniversary of its flagship title, Warframe, the studio is preparing a significant presence at Summer Game Fest. Running from June 4 to June 8 in Los Angeles, the event will serve as a platform for both in-person activations and digital reveals, with a particular focus on the highly anticipated Soulframe.


A Fresh Perspective on Soulframe

While Soulframe retains the action-adventure, free-to-play DNA of its predecessor, it shifts the focus from sci-fi biomachines to a rich medieval fantasy setting. Players will step into the role of the Envoy, a warrior utilizing powerful Fey magic. The upcoming showcase at Summer Game Fest will feature a world premiere trailer for the game, offering fans a deeper look into its complex magic systems.


Women-Led Games Showcase

Creative Director Rebecca Ford and Community Director Megan Everett are slated to co-host the Women-Led Games event this Thursday. The stream will highlight projects developed by female-led teams and include exclusive trailers for both Warframe and Soulframe. Fans can tune in via the official YouTube and Twitch channels of The Game Awards and Women-Led Games.


Fan Rewards and In-Game Bonuses

Digital Extremes is incentivizing viewership throughout the festival. By linking a Twitch account to a Warframe profile, viewers can claim a free Dante Warframe Twitch Drop by watching the main broadcast for at least 30 minutes. Additionally, the studio is launching the next Warframe narrative chapter, Jade Shadows: Constellations, on June 17.


ARK/8 Fashion Collaboration and Real-World Events

In partnership with ARK/8, the developer is hosting a pop-up shop at 115 S La Brea Ave in Los Angeles, featuring daily activities:

  • Friday (7 p.m. PST): A trivia quiz featuring Warframe apparel prizes.
  • Saturday & Sunday (2 p.m. – 6 p.m. PST): On-site customization of apparel with player gamertags.
  • Monday (12 p.m. PST): The "ARK/8 Simulacrum," a series of carnival-style mastery challenges with real-world rewards.

Furthermore, an exclusive Warframe-themed cafe will operate on the Summer Game Fest Play Days campus. Guests can enjoy photo booths, custom beverages, and giveaways. Notably, the 13th customer of each day will receive a mystery in-game item, and all Play Days attendees will be granted a closed Alpha access code for Soulframe Preludes.
