Advanced AI Integration for Superior Audio
Anker has officially entered a new era of audio technology with the introduction of its custom Thus AI chip. Debuted during the company’s Anker Day event, this proprietary silicon is the core engine for the new Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max earbuds. By combining the chip with an array of eight microphones and dual bone conduction sensors, Anker aims to drastically improve voice clarity in challenging environments. The system utilizes an AI model to intelligently isolate the user's speech from ambient noise, ensuring professional-grade call quality.
Enhanced Voice Control and ANC
The Thus chip also enables advanced voice interaction, supporting 20 distinct voice commands with a claimed response time of less than one second. Additionally, both models feature the upgraded Adaptive ANC 4.0. By processing audio data 384,000 times per second, the system provides real-time adjustments to external noise, with the company asserting that this iteration is twice as effective at suppressing background sounds—including human voices—compared to the previous Liberty 4 Pro generation.
Personalized Sound and Smart Functionality
To cater to individual listener preferences, Anker has implemented HearID 5.0. This tool conducts a quick hearing test to generate a custom EQ profile. Furthermore, the inclusion of AI Sound Enhancement helps restore up to 65% of audio fidelity typically lost due to Bluetooth compression artifacts.
Smart Charging Cases and Exclusive Features
While both earbuds share a 6.5-hour battery life with ANC enabled (extending to 28 hours with the case) and feature IP55 dust and water resistance, the charging cases distinguish the two models:
- Liberty 5 Pro: Features a 0.96-inch TFT touchscreen.
- Liberty 5 Pro Max: Sports a larger 1.78-inch AMOLED display and includes an exclusive AI Note-Taker, which generates meeting transcripts and identifies action items directly within the Soundcore app.
Both models support Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint connectivity, Apple Find My, and Google Fast Pair. While AI-based translation is standard across both versions, the implementation differs slightly in accessibility between the earbuds and the smart cases.
Pricing and Availability
The new lineup is available for purchase immediately. The standard Liberty 5 Pro is priced at $170 and comes in black, blue, pink, and white. The Liberty 5 Pro Max, carrying a premium price tag of $230, is available in black and gold finishes.
